REGIONAL AGE SQUAD

Monthly Fee: £73.00 paid by DD 

Regional Age Squad Criteria

Minimum Attendance: Swimmers in Regional Age must maintain a minimum of 5 pool sessions a week (at least 1 of which must be a weekday morning) and 1 Land Training session. Swimmers looking to progress into Regional Youth Squad must be able to demonstrate 6 sessions per week (at least 1 of which must be a weekday morning) in order to be considered.

Minimum Qualification: Swimmers must achieve 1 Middlesex County QT in the age group they are competing at the championships within the competition season. Swimmers must gain or be or be within 2% of a London Region QT.

Equipment: Kick Board, Pull Buoy, Fins, Snorkel, Hand Paddles.  Swimmers must also bring either 2 x 500ml or 1ltr full water bottle/s to each session.

Regional Age Squad Aims and Aspirations:

  • England Talent programme swimmers
  • Regional Finalists Champions, Qualifiers and Record Holders
  • County Champions, Medallists and Finalists
  • I.M focused training program.

Competitions (minimum requirement): Swimmers should compete in at least 6 competitions a season, which must be Borough of Harrow Club Championships, Middlesex County Championships and London Regional Championships.

Progression: Once swimmers have reached the desired level, and achieved at least 1 London Region QT and competed in that age group at the Regional Championships will be considered to progress to Regional Youth. To Progress to Regional Youth, Swimmers must be eligible to compete at the Youth Championships (aged 15 and over) or top 30 in their age group in younger. Swimmers who do not meet the desired minimum attendance and competition attendance level will be moved to Youth or County Age, dependant on age and training performance standards.
