SWIM SCHOOL

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Dear AllI
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the reopening of the Harrow Leisure Centre pool and the start of our Summer term.As of now, we have not received any updates from either the Harrow Council or the Centre management regarding the reopening of the pool. We are in constant communication with the centre, and rest assured that as soon as we receive any updates, we will promptly inform you.Given the current situation, the Summer term will not commence on 8th April as originally planned. We will only proceed with the term once we receive confirmation from the centre that the pool is safe and ready to be used.

Your safety and well-being, as well as that of our instructors and staff, remain our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this uncertain period. Rest assured that we are doing everything possible to ensure a smooth transition back to our swim sessions once the pool reopens.

We will keep you informed of any developments, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your continued support.

OUR SWIM SCHOOL

The Borough of  Swimming Club provides high-quality swimming lessons for children from 4.5 years and  upwards. We strive to not only teach your children to swim – but how to swim well!

Previous graduates of the Learn To Swim Program have gone on to compete at County, Regional and National Levels.

The Club’s Learn to Swim programme produces a high standard of swimmers. Our Learn to Swim lessons have some of the lowest teacher-pupil ratios in the area and we aim to have a maximum of 7 swimmers per lesson. In the main pool, we aim to have a maximum of  8 swimmers per lesson as we find this encourages good development and greater concentration.

The Borough of Harrow Swimming Club adheres to Swim England Equity & Diversity Policy and will treat everyone equally regardless of their age, level of ability or disability, gender, race, religion or belief.

Our Swim School guarantees a fun and engaging experience where children of all ages with varying abilities learn to swim and improve their skills in a safe and entertaining environment. We take children from the age of 4.5 – and you’ll be astonished by what they can achieve! They’ll have great fun while all the time building their confidence and independence in the water.

Harrow Swimming Club is also the perfect place for your little one to start out on their competitive swimming journey.

Whether it’s just for safety or for fun, or whether its the first stop on their way to the Olympics, Harrow Swimming offer classes to teach your child how to swim.

Many of our current Foundation and Development Squads started off right here.

Our Learn to Swim programme contain the following levels, with Stage 1 being the earliest and Stage 7 being the final stage before progressing onto Academy and Foundation Squads:

Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4, Stage 5, Stage 6 and Stage 7

OUR SWIM STAGES

Harrow Swimming Club provides children and young people the opportunity to learn and develop swimming skills.
Please note that taking a course one time, does not mean it was successfully completed. Most students will repeat courses to master necessary required skills for the next level. There is no set amount of time that is allotted to master specific skills, please be patient and remember that confidence and competency take time and repetition.
